I just got back today from my trip snowshoeing with some friends in the Rocky Mountains. I could never even begin to tell you how much fun it was. We hiked up to this alpine lake in the sky where a few others from the group had gone up a few days earlier and built a couple of igloos and camped out. Our trail was a back trail that went straight up (seemingly forEVER! It was STEEP and HARD), but it snowed this beautiful, fluffy fresh snow the whole way. As hard as it was, I just kept saying, "This is so amazing! This is so beautiful!" And the people we went with were so much fun. I've never laughed so hard while I worked so hard in my whole life.
This picture is allllmost to our destination. That mountain in the background is over 13,000 feet, so that gives you an idea of how high we have hiked ourselves to get this perspective on that mountain. I may show you a few more over the next couple of days if you don't mind. I'm still floating from the awesome experience. Just what I needed :)
That is just awesome scenery. Glad you had so much fun in spite of the difficult terrain. Keep posting the stuff you got, I for one would love to see it.
