One of the GLORIOUS hikes we did in the Rockies a few weeks ago. We began the hike under the stars, and got there early enough in the morning to find the water still still and beautiful - and no one there but us. Long's Peak, the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park (I think it's the highest) is the one poking its head thru the clouds. The lake, just at the base of that peak was quite a hike, reaching a destination of almost 12,000 feet. But very much worth the effort!
sandy .. this is the most beautiful scene and the most amazing photograph .. love the arid look and that amazing sky .. it feels like you could almost reach out and touch those clouds .. :)
