 My daughter was my model. I took my stain glass fire screen and propped it up in my son's bedroom window so my subject would be backlit by the natural light coming in. Had my daughter sit in front and pray.
The post processing steps are:

smart sharpen
save for web

The stained glass is pretty, but it's distracting from your main subject.

The background is so rich that becomes the real subject. I think this make the silhouette a secondary (and maybe disturbing) element.

The stained glass window is tilted slightly, and I can see just a bit of the girl. It's a beautiful picture, though... and presents something I need to do. I like it...

I like this... the only thing, however, although the background is beautiful, the brightness of it takes away from the silhouette slightly...beautiful idea though!

Though I know the window is supposed to add to the ambience, it seems distracting, overpowers the subject - the praying girl.

OK i get what you were trying to do here the silhouette should have more light behind it the red stainded glass is too dark >.<
