After working for 40+ years in an office environment, I am now a stay-at-home mom. In 2004 I was married to a man who has 11-year-old twin boys.
I have always loved photography and started a few years ago with a Pentax K-1000 that my mom gave me in 1997, then I bought a Canon Rebel 2000. For my birthday, my husband gave me a Canon D20 which I'm still learning to use. Since our marriage, he also has become very interested in photography.
The weekly challenge is a learning tool and pushes me into areas where I'd not normally go. This year for their birthday, we got the twins small digital cameras and are using the challenges to help them learn basics of photography.
