Am fascinated by Chihuly's work, this challenge gave me an excuse to go see more of his sculptures. This is actually a ceiling installation above a bridge in Tacoma.

Wow, I'm thrilled with this result (especially after last week, that entry sucked, lol!).
For those of you who commented that this photo is kinda busy.... well, yes it is. But I debated entering some close-ups of the detail and figured they would be slammed as boring. And basically the essence of Chihuly's work IS that it invites to you in to visually wander around, and I think this photo captures that feeling. Amazingly, this is the first shot I took of this display, the others were not nearly as good. I only bumped up the saturation and brightness/contrast a little.
wow. theres so much to look at. its like a painting that always holds new meaning everytime you stop to really think abotu it. lovely colors too. well done.
All the detail here is very clear and crisp - focus, contrast, everything is spot-on.
But there's just too much happening for my taste. If there was one central feature that stood out, which the others complemented and led your eye towards, then it would be great. But as it stands, they're all competing with one another.
