very good. recalling the fact that a still life was originally a memento mori - a rememberance or consciousness of death. i do agree with the DOF comment, thought. i gave you an 8.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Please tell me you meant this to be funny. Otherwise, I've just made an ass of myself. Which, I guess, is better than a dear (intended).

I had to look at this one for quite some time, but I've got to give it a 10.

Am put off by what looks like a dead deer, but the image is quite well done. Like your fabric choice. It adds a definite harvest flavor to it. 8

A well executed shot. Just a little too much brown for my taste.

Vary traditional but the image should be sharp front to back the DOF is too shallow. 6

This meets the challenge - inanimate and arranged. Very much so. Some beautiful textures and colours in there. Maybe the left side cutoff is unnecessary... a good 8

The stuffed or dead animal here (I can't make out what it is) really spoils this for me - not just because it's a dead animal but because I can't place what it is or reconcile it's presence with the rest of the shot.

You meet the challenge, but the there is a lot going on here with many similar brown/yellow/orange colors.

I think more colour contrast could have improved the overall look here.

Nice toning and very sad
I love the colours and the detail but this is a very busy image
I think it may have been better to take some of the item out
