Very nice image. Didn't think it really is a true still life, though. In another challenge this would probably win a ribbon, or at least place pretty high. Technically your texture of the grass is really wonderful, and I like the tone of the image. The sky is very nice and the composition is well done.
This is the BEST photo I have ever seen on here ever. You truly know wha tyou are doing. This is not a PHOTOGRAPH. but instead this is TRULY ART. the highest level of photographer according to Ken Rockwell is the ARTIST. he compares that to the equivelant of HEAVEN to christianity. Yo uhave truly captures the work of an ARTIST here. I can only DREAM of ever taking an exposure this beautiful.
I would qualify this wholeheartedly as a landscape image and not a still life. It has a moody feel to it and good composition, but I'm afraid it will suffer on score through not meeting the challenge.
I gave this photo a 1 because it didn't seem to me to fulfill my expectation of a "still life," a classic form of artfully arranged objects. Call me narrow minded but that's the way I see it. Having said that, this is a stunnigly good image. As a landscape, it succeeds brilliantly, but not as a still life.
