This is an intersting subject. I feel it could have more punch if you increase your depth of field so that the background is more blurred and less distracting. I think tighter crop on the devil's apples would pull your attention to the subject.

DNMC--A still life to me is about the set up and lighting, and both are lacking in this shot, IMO.
