I bought my first camera on Dec 30th 2006. Found a mysterious medium. I am loving the act of clicking, particularly when the subject is: People. I feel connected to people in a strange way, when I photograph them. Maybe it is a part of how we all are connected in the cosmos. Will an image be a window to soul? I am exploring...
Why this site?
* I hope my participation here will help me better in photography as an art - a definite pursuit for me now. Your votes and comments will tell me if my work is appealing or meaningful to you in any way.
* It is a pleasure looking and marvelling at the awesome pictures that you take.
I shall be involving myself with two activities in here this year(2010):
On the Street Project: See Photo-A-Week The idea is to visit streets as often. Philosophy is to concentrate on the subjects and keep the rest simple and straight. I am putting some constraints on me: Wide Angle = 28mm, Crop = No, Dark Room = Only color, tonal and sharpness improvements. I hope to achieve a healthy balance of narrative and aesthetics in this.
Challenges: In the challenges I would like to experiment a lot, in my own little ways - both while clicking and while processing. So scores might fluctuate. Hard to take it sometimes; but I don't want the fun of adventure to go away.
Your critique and feedback is, of great importance. I would be happy and grateful to receive it. Even a Hello from you is as welcome. So, please feel free to write.
