I decided to join the site when I saw this image and the detailed explanation below. It attract me that the DPC community is always keen on helping to learn new skills.
I am not fan of the use of post processing but enjoy playing with it occasionally.
Always preferred to be outside capturing images than in the computer manipulating them.
I am always keen on having more freedom to capture more interesting abstract images. I recently acquire an old copal shutter that adapted to fit in front of the lens. This allows me to do multiple exposures within a single capture in exteriors where light control is not available.
I also got an manual lens so I can change the focal distance and the depth of field between exposures.
This combination allows to capture what are essentially composites as well as applying an almost unlimited set of textures within any of the challenge ruleset.
