Biography: I am the newest of newbies with respect to the DSLR world. I just recently purchased some gear to get myself started in what I hope will be a challenging, rewarding and fun hobby.

At this point, I am shooting anything and everything (my kids are quite annoyed with me!). With my minimal knowledge about photography, I am just trying to achieve predictable and consistent results.

I don't have the hardware/software for any post processing activities (maybe in the future) so I am looking to produce acceptable results directly from the camera.

Any comments, criticisms, tips, and tricks are extremely welcome!
