I was an art major in college where I hated sculpture class(mainly because of a nasty incident of a badly welded piece--Oh, how I hate to weld--which fell apart in a painfully slow way during a critique in front of the entire class-ha-I can laugh now.) I somehow ended up making my living with sculpture for over twenty years but wood this time not metal. I hit a mid-life crisis a few years ago and decided I wanted to try new things. I've been exploring other creative avenues since. I enjoyed 35mm photography and dark room work very much when I was in my twenties but the venture into digital photography is only about a year old. I'm really enjoying learning and hopefully growing. My husband gave me a much loved gray dappled mare for my fiftieth birthday that I call Mouse. She is the subject of much of my photography and other art now. She's a good horse and a good model. |
