Always wanted a decent SLR camera as a kid, and only managed to afford one when I hit 30+. Started with a Canon Rebel film SLR (35mm) then onto Nikon D70 in 2004 and finally to Nikon D300 in November 2007. Just inherited a Rolleiflex 2.8E2 (2.8 Planar Carl Zeiss lens) and hoping to start using that soon. Still an out and out rank amateur and learning the basics of composition, the technology and trying to get more out of CS3. In 2011, bought a Sony DSC-HX9V to keep in trunk of car for making sure I didn't miss any great shots whilst 'out and about'. Update for 7th Dec 2014 is upgrade to Nikon D810, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED, Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR DG IF-ED (didn't like the f4 version of this!), Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G, Black Rapid Sports strap (v. cool) and Hoya 77mm UV filters. Also looking to upgrade CS3 to CC (monthly rental deal) to deal with the NEFs from the D810. |
