| Biography: |
- Earliest photo memory: Being asked to justify the price of a print to myself (50c) when I was six years old--and then decide against taking a picture of my sand castle on Triggs beach (I’ve regretted it ever since).
- Earliest photo that I still have: ascending the cedar tree (the ascent)) at the front of Adare mansion during school camp, fearing for my life lest I break my dad’s Minolta, to record the view of what seemed like another world.
My biggest photo struggle: It may seem off-the-wall, but the biggest disappointment I used to feel came from hitting the limitations of 2D media in recording 3 dimensions & not knowing how to manage it (eg. when I came home to view my pics of the Flinders Ranges mountains only to find they were lifeless).
My user name? The African tribe who lived on my grandpa’s farm gave me the name "Madumi" as a token of appreciation for him.
My DPC goals:
1) Enter two challenges every month.
2) Concentrate on my weakest skills:
- 1st weakest area (as of Feb '09): flash lighting.
