    Biography: 40+ year old English teacher, with my own business in Milan, Italy. Not a great snapper, but I like taking photos all the same.

    Many moons ago I met a cool Aussie pro photographer - who put me off photography! Why? Because he told me that unless I developed my own films I would never be able to get the results I really wanted.
    Deep down I knew he was right - and I was not really prepared to set up my own dark room.

    Now, we are in the digital age and I can 'process' my own 'films'. Digital cameras are now at an affordable level and offer impressive levels of control and performance. PCs can now deal with big images well too.

    My interest in photography has been rekindled, I am pleased to say.
