Living in the Mid-South, USA. Just got my first SLR in September 2006. Father was a great amateur photographer (IMO) and upon his passing, I received a number of Pentax lenses. Never had the money for a new digital SLR to use the lenses, but I saved and saved to get my Pentax *ist-DL and now thanks to digital photography, I get to try a hobby I've been interested in for some time. So, I'm trying to learn techniques and perfect my new hobby. I figured DP Challenge would be a great place as I could get some constructive criticism, feedback, and pointers on what I have done well, and what I can do better.

1st year GOALS:
Score a 6.0 or higher on a photo. (this could take a while)
Learn how to use Post Processing Software -- slowly getting there.
Become a better photographer (technical skills) 1 year after joining this forum (comparatively speaking). - We'll see in mid-August 2007.
