    Biography: I'm an amateur photographer with delusions of adequacy.

    There are many gob-smackingly good photographers on this site, and sadly I'm not one of them. But as I examine the never-ending flow of excellent photography that continues to appear on DPC, it helps me to understand what works and what doesn't. Often I will "think out loud" in the comments for a photo, just in case my observations are of any interest to anyone else. And besides, how can I know what I'm thinking until I see it written down :-)

    The other great thing about DPC is getting comments back on my own burnt offerings. So if you look at one of my pics and you like it, or you don't, I would love to hear why. Go on, be brutal...
