Received my first camera as a gift from my father about a six months ago, and have been trying to teach myself to become a photographer ever since. Lacking the attention span for how-to books or online tutorials, DPChallenge has been my primary tool for learning the secrets.
I haven't excelled in any special kind of photography yet but I have enjoyed taking pictures of architecture with pinhole cameras prior to my newly discovered interest in digital work.
I always try to vote on 100% of the photos in challenges, but I haven't submitted to a challenge yet. I hope to summon the courage to do so soon!
