Last year my goal was to take all DPC comments to heart,
and use them to improve upon my lack of any formal training.
But I've found myself often disagreeing with some comments,
as they'd like me to change things that I'd rather not. I've realized
that all art is subject to interpretation, and while I enjoy learning
what other people think of mine, I don't want to change my
style or view to please the DPC audience.
So really I don't care how I score anymore. I just want
to see how other people interpret my artistic expression, and
DPC is a great vehicle to do so. This isn't to say I don't learn
anything from the comments made; I don't always disagree
with them, lol!
Goals for 2007 (my rookie year, heh):
- Enter more challenges!!!
- Score 5+ in a challenge
- Do 30 days of self-portraits
