Photography is a hobby for me that I really like. My family thinks I'm a bit odd for taking my camera with me all the time.
My real job currently is a technology startup with a large semiconductor company with a contracting firm doing some interesting computer programming so I have to split my time with job, family, Boy Scouts (I'm Scoutmaster), photography, and poker.
I really enjoy this site and it has pumped me up to try to get better with my photography... now if I can get enough money to buy all the stuff I want ;-).
Goals for 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011:
- Enter in at least 10 challenges - 10 Challenges by 3/26/2006
- Get to the top 50 in a challenge (got start somewhere) - Broken II Challenge - 35th place
- Get to the top 20 in a challenge (shooting for the moon!) - Fireworks II Challenge - 4th place (oh so close to a ribbon)
- Get a ribbon (okay... now I'm shooting for pluto)
My wish list:
- Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
- Upgrade to Photoshop CS5????
- Monitor calibration HW (Spyder2?)(got a huey PRO)
- large format printer (Ideal would be the Epson 9800 but that won't fly with the wife so maybe the Epson 2400???)
- Manfrotto 055MF3 Got the Benro Tripod |
