Aloha! I now live on the beautiful garden island paradise of Kauai, Hawaii with my wife Constance and baby daughter Anastasia. I have been a media maker since 1994, and have been behind the lens passionately documenting since 1999. In 2005, while in law school I found myself taking some time on weekends to photograph out in nature and shoot weddings part time. Eventually this led to my realization that I wanted to switch career paths. I soon after left the law to pursue media making, and have been doing that ever since.
My passion for photography evolved to include videography in 2007 when I embarked on a 2 year, 6500 mile bicycle journey to visit and document on photo and video 100 sustainable communities. The documentary that resulted, Within Reach won several awards.
Hailing from Northern California, Ryan I went to art school at the Academy of Art in San Francsico.
It is one of my deepest joys to capture people in their true essense, capturing their candid moments as well as their joyous hearts. It is my aim to be a "fly on the wall" during any shoot to let you be yourself. |
