I've been interested in photography as a hobby for quite a while. I finally decided to get serious about it in the spring 2006, and after much discussion with my wife (Begging) I received the official "Okie-Dokie", and purchased my first SLR camera, digital or film.
I had already downloaded and read the manual for my camera so it was just a matter of waiting for the big brown truck to show up!
Upon receiving my new toy, I ripped open the box like a kid on Christmas morning, charged the battery for at least 10 minutes, slapped the kit lens on, turned the dial to the little green rectangle (Which I told myself I wasn't going to do) and started shooting.
Well, I realized rather quickly that I was never going to learn anything if I kept useing the little green rectangle, so I stopped. I now delete alot of crappy pictures, keep the better ones and actually show people a few of the ones I'm happy with. At least I'm not spending money on film. |
