| Biography: |
I'm a South African who lived in the Netherlands for several years.
I got my first camera from my uncle (who was a journalist) when I was about 10 years old - an old Kodak Retina rangefinder - it didn't even have an integrated light meter but I loved it. Took a high-school photography course (with dark room sessions) using a Nikon FM2, and owned a Pentax Zoom90WR for some years. I finally went digital in 2001 with the great little Canon S45. After extensively using a friend's Nikon D70 while backpacking through SE Asia in 2005, I fell in love with it and bought myself a Nikon D80 in 2006.
Things I hope to achieve on dpchallenge:
* score above 6.0
* score above 7.0
* top 10 finish
* earn a ribbon
* earn a blue ribbon!
* achieve an average score > 6.0
I would like to consistently score above my average - i.e. to learn from all the great photographers here, and to improve my own work. |
