I was given my first camera in the 4th grade. it was a "disc" camera... anyone remember those? I've upgraded a few times since then. My passion for photography really took off with the birth of my first child. My kids (3 girls) are still my favorite subjects, but I now own my own studio and take lots of pictures for others. DPC has been a great way for me to learn and grow as a photographer.
My DPC goals...
* Achieve and maintain an average score of 5.5 or greater.
* Score above a 6 in a challenge ~ Done ~ "Sleepy"
* Score above a 6.5 in a challenge ~ Done ~ "Holiday Baking"
* Score above a 7 in a challenge
* Score in the top 90% in a challenge ~ Done ~ "Holiday Baking"
* Place in the top 25 ~ Done ~ Off the market"
* Place in the top 10

In trying to be less "subjective" with my scoring, I've try to using the following rating scale:
Meets Challenge - 2 points
Lighting/Processing - 2 points
Composition - 2 points
Overall Impression - 2 points
"WOW" factor - 2 points
