I would consider myself an enthusiastic amature photographer who enjoys reveling in what beauty I find around me. I enjoy being out in nature and travelling, as well as reading and being a professional unix/linux geek.
My personal project, 101 Self Portraits is now complete. If you wish to view it, you can find the gallery here: //photography.alien2thisworld.net/101selfportraits/index.html

***** France and Switzerland Trip - 2006 *****
I got back from my trip on August 30th, and had such a great time. I created a photo gallery of my favorite shots (210 total) from the trip, which can be found here:
//photography.alien2thisworld.net/FranceSwitzerland2006/index.html
I didn't get to devote as much time to photography as I wanted, but I wouldn't change anything about it.
---UPDATE -- June 2006---
I can hardly wait until August when I'm going on vacation back to France, and this time will visit Italy and Switzerland as well. I'll have about 17 days on the ground which I'm sure won't seem like enough. I'm especially excited since I'll have my D70s this time. Je ne peux pas attendre!
UPDATE -- Aug 2005:
I just got back from my vacation to France this summer. I've selected the best of my shots from the trip. The gallery has about 389 pictures, selected from the 1,400 photos taken during the trip.
My France 2005 Trip
My Goals
- Enter more shots that score in the top 50% of the challenge
- Take 5 or more 6+ scoring shots within the next 12 months
- Make significant efforts at producing quality shots that I'm proud to enter
- Don't enter any photos that I later regret
- Take photos that others like enough to select them as 'favorites' (--DONE 10/9/05)
~Quotes~
"If you were to put uncomfortable clothes on any other animal, it would find a way to pull them off too."
"Theology is an attempt to explain a subject by men who do not understand it. The intent is not to tell the truth but to satisfy the questioner."
