I started out in my career as a multimedia applications developer, producing CDROM apps during the 90’s (Toolbook, Director etc.). Over the years I have developed a keen interest in computer graphics and UI design and started focusing more on this aspect of my projects.
I currently run a small web application development company specializing in web database backends (SQL/Oracle etc). I do very little programming now, mostly design and graphics related work. My primary design application is photoshop, and it was through photoshop I started to become more interested in photography as new medium for expression/illustration.
I just recently bought my first digital camera in early August(04) and I must say that photography is a lot more challenging then I expected. Im having a lot of fun, however, im just a beginner who has a lot to learn yet. I am at awe at some of the photographs that are being produced on this site, not just by the obvious professionals but also by some of the members who do this as a hobby, its very humbling to say the least.
Anyway I hope to learn a lot from this web site and its members, and over time, and much practice, perhaps even win a blue ribbon or two.
