It's been 7 years since I joined DP Challenge. Sometimes, it seems like a long time and other times it seems like it was just yesterday that I found this site and was so excited about taking pictures and putting them in challenges.
I've learned so much about taking pictures, editing pictures, cameras, lens and all things photography. Have also learned a lot about life and myself.
There have been many changes for me photographically speaking since I started. I had just gotten my first digital camera - a Fuji 3800 and didn't really know anything about taking pictures except that it was really fun to take pictures and see them right away instead of having to get them developed.
There have been a lot of changes in my life since I started, too. My Dad passed away, my son married a wonderful girl and moved to the Philadelphia area, my husband lost his job after 28 & 1/2 years for the same company and now we're starting all over again with him at a new job. Luckily, we didn't have to move away from this place I love to photograph. DPC has been there through all of it.
I've not entered any challenges recently as my life has taken other turns but I do hope to get back to it someday. I still check out the pictures on the challenges every week and DP Challenge has been my home page on my computer since I joined!
