Sep 2103 - To say I am an amateur is an overstatement. My wife is the photographer in the family. I did not get my first DSLR (Nikon D3100) until Jul 2013. However, I have been a faithful listener of my Father's talks about his favorite photographers, the likes of Adams and Weston, and the art of taking a good picture. He brought me up on the use of Leica M3 film cameras, which I honestly can say I did not master well. Today, I am beginning to explore photo-taking as a personal artistic outlet, to see if I can produce photos even half the quality of those my Father did when he was much younger. So, the journey begins...
Oct 2014 - My first year as a member of DPC has been great. I have learned quite a bit thanks to the many awesome members of DPC who provide candid comments on my challenge entries and portfolio, as well as post sage advice in the forums. I hope to be a more active participant in challenges this next year. The journey continues...
Jan 2018 - I have been away too long. Life's journey is often a very interesting one. Anyway, I strayed away too long, and now I am back. I am shooting whenever I can with some changes in equipment. Hopefully, I will have more consistent participation this year. |
