I love this place. I am beginning to learn who I am as a photographer, and I'm not sure that will be one who regularly shows up on the front page. I love the dark (or the high key) images specially chosen by a photographer for their interest or because they tell a story. Really photographs of anything a bit unique will give me pause to look longer.
I love how this site keeps me thinking creatively and photographing regularly. The camaraderie of the DPC community is just amazing. I hope someday to know a few of you, you all inspire me to keep shooting for those photos that make my brain smile.
I was a proud member of the summer 2014 TPL Team 7. We were magnificent!

I made a whole slew of PBs during the tournament, I got started with Lightroom and moved into PSCC, and added NIK software to my toolkit. All in all it was quite the 10 weeks. Thanks to MAK, Ja-9, Dcrest01, CNovack, and Paul. Your wisdom, eyes, and photo skills are amazing and I was honored to be part of your team.
And now onto another exciting challenge the summer of 2015 - League. I'm excited to do my best for The Underachievers.
My first bling almost brought me to tears. Rain and fog and my brain screaming to pull over on the highway at just the right time brought me this personal winner.

Another awesome piece of bling. for . Thanks!
Voting on images has done a great deal to help me see and think about photographs. It has helped me understand technical differences in images even if sometimes I still cannot emulate a technical skill. Glad to show off my voting bling: |
