I've been shooting film for 30 years (with a recent time-out for a broken camera). Most of that has been for snapshots. Some nice shots on trips (Kenya, Norway a couple other places). I got my first digital (point-and-shoot) as a Christmas gift two years ago. I like taking pictures without worrying about film and developing/printing. I upgraded to my current camera a few months ago and rediscovered the fun I had with my old Practica 35mm. Now I want a DSLR.
I'm teaching my daughter (evil_munky) how to take pictures and my wife (leskataus) how to switch to digital. They each did better than me in their first challenges, so I must be doing something right. Now I just have to deny them access to my camera.
