It suddenly occurred to me that when you were considering buying a pooch, part of the thought process was "which are the most photogenic ones...?" I see a book in the near future :-) Congrats on the ribbon.

I'm guessing this is the same dog from "The Call of the Wild".. jagar ? Anyways, great processing (depth, detail, etc.) as always and a very nice composition.

John, this is a captivating shot. Gap has such an intense look in his eyes, and what looks like a furrowed brow!!

Very nice. I like how his fur looks so soft.

Tones in this are just perfect! the depth of field is as perfect as it gets. the contrast between the sharp jagged rocks and the soft smooth coat on the hound dog is an awesome combination. One of my favorite shots in this challenge! its beautifully done!

Nice action shot. Good to see a dog being a dog!

Jagar? Mad photo and PP skills! He was caught escaping under a grill recently?

Love the perspective and focus here -- wonderful light and shadow, too, and an excellent moment. One of my top picks for the challenge.

Nice action in this shot and the dogs face is great

Fantastic shot - the details and intensity on the face jumps off the screen. i just wonder if a tighter crop for DPC would work better for scoring
Post actions
Not sure if this is John,s but its a wonderfully taken and processed shot whoever and I hope to see it near the top.

such texture! the compositional positioning and blur are spot on, too.

Wonderful capture. His expression is so cute, he really is focused on something. I like the contrast of the smooth fur with the rugged rocks and that you can see his eyes clearly. 9 :)
