I managed to find them off a deer trail. The sound of antlers crashing, gave them away. These deer are very use to people. So I made my way over. I took some shots, then moved around them. Giving me a better angle and light. During the move, they paid very little attention. So in the end, I was roughly 30 feet away for this shot. It was an experience I will always remember.
Common sense dictates, you should keep your distance with wild animals. I only went close, as I knew the risk was very low. I have been accustomed, to each of these deer. Being able to recognize them, by features and attitudes. They also seem to know me. I think it's the red hair and peanuts in the shell! So I felt comfortable doing this. They also gave no sign of distress to me. Yeah, I was the least of their concern. Anyway, just play safe with wildlife.
