 Inside the hot and humid stairwell at Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas, 2 and a half hours by boat from Key West.

I shot a similar photo about ten years ago in a cathedral in Paris with my old CoolPix 990 and the fisheye adapter. With that lens I was able to capture 180 degrees; impossible to keep my feet out of the frame! I 'shopped them out, nonetheless.



This is a five exposure HDR image, merged and tone-mapped in Photomatix. In Lightroom, converted and tweaked in black and white, added vignetting. In Photoshop, resized, unsharp mask, export to web. I never really could be happy about the glare from the window. :(
