Really great. I recognise this style but I can't think who the photographer might be off hand. I'm reminded of Tim Burton movies though. 8

Love the face and markings. Really unique....the title made me laugh.

If that is his benevolent look, I don't think I want to see him angry.

Looks almost metallic. Such a cool picture!

Wow.. those eyes! Impressive capture.

might have to work on his appearance a bit, nice to see you passed the validation. Wonderful glow.

Great image.

Looks like something out of Antz. Great digital art image. (voted earlier)

Well, hello there mate! Those eyes are awesome!
Post actions
He looks metallic! Not sure if that's the way he is or it's your processing, but it's a cool photo.

WOW!!!!! Stunning photo, to a new level. If I could vote 11 I would, but I can't so... 10 :)
Post actions
He looks seriously metallic! I suspect this is due to processing but it's an interesting effect.

Very spooky, is this real or expert editing?

This is fantastic- like some alien cyborg! Gorgeous dof, colours, textures. Looks like he's ready for a challenge with the head on view. My minor nitpick is that I wish there was a touch more room at the bottom... one of my favourite shots of the challenge.

Funny - and also a very impressive macro, the management of the DOF is incredibly good !

This absolutely is my pick to win. I'll keep my fingers crossed. This is so good.

this is amazing, love the DOF and color

Oooh, the lighting of this image really makes it stand out among the other bug photos.

You are number three in my ultra-close up selections! Really well composed, and the color is flawless. 8!

Fantastic macro, looks alien.

The processing is a bit over the top, in a lot of ways, but I think the end product is very cool This has taken on a look entirely different from simply a normal macro of a katydid, bordering instead on an interesting rendering of a character from a pixar film or something. Pretty cool shot.

This is so incredibly awesome. Just came back to bump it from a 9 to a 10. (and the title is perfect!)

I LOVE this photo! I am a sucker for macro photography anyway, but this was my favorite of the challenge.

Love the overall green tones, nice focus on the face. What a frightening expression, haha.

It's incredible how much that face reminds me of a character out of "Star Wars" this is just amazing, I would say, front page for sure.

I love the detail on the leg hairs and the concentration on his face.
Post actions
I don;t often like bug macros, but this is terrific, so full of character!
Post actions
I love this. It looks almost metallic, hope it's real. The pose: legs at 90 degrees like its hunched over staring you in the face is so good. The greens just gel together wonderfully.

Wow, what an attitude from a bug! I like this one, that little guy seems to be staring you/me down?
Post actions
That's one processed bug (Topaz Clean I think) that actually works :) The original had to be good to start with lol. Looks like he has a monocle on his right eye.
