This is not a soft looking image but it works. The intense detail in her dress brings out the petal-like shapes which I'm sure you took attention to. The shadow adds an almost haunting quality.

different perspective, I like how the folds in the dress line up with her hands, kind of give this motion, I think I would of cropped off the top and taken out the shadow, focusing more on just the ballerina, the shadow is cool and I get what you were going after, just seems like a stronger comp to me cropping the top so the black on top is about half the black on the bottom and keep her where she is on the right hand side, lovely either way
