This is a deceptively simple photograph. It's a prosaic scene made profound (well, more interesting) by the sweeping connection between the people and the ship. And the effect is reinforced by the odd intrusion on the right: it seems to suggest a turning page, and says something about fleeting connections between people and places. A clever and absorbing photograph, whether or not you entirely meant it as I saw it (and your title suggests that you did). 7 & thank you. |
