Northern Bald Eagle photographed in captivity at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY. The Seneca Park Zoo is home to numerous Eagles who have been injured and would not otherwise survive.
Did some minor editing in GIMP. Cropped & rotated the image to level the branch he was perching on, boosted contrast slightly, removed about 2/3 of the saturation to de-emphasize the greens, yet still retain their feel subtly. Finished up by resizing for print dimensions and applying USM.
