My hands down favorite for this challenge. The lighting is great, and I love the slight pink in the clouds. I love the feeling of energy from the model and the whimsical title. The model's physical condition has the feel of a classical Greek or Roman statue, which lends to the appeal of the image. I really just love the feeling of unrestrained joy. Excellent job. One I'd love to have for my walls. 10

reminds me of the winner of the freedom challenge. but the light and clouds in this one is even better. Good image but you're up against some tough competition.
I like the composition a lot with the model off center and the clouds in the background are awesom, but the shadows accross his body are distracting and think the image suffers from need of more saturation of color.
This reminds me strongly of Heida's recent Free Spirit entry, an image I like very much. I think this would benefit from the inclusion of just a touch of the sand shore, as that one does. I like the fact that the horizon is high within the frame and that the clouds add interest to the sky.
hehe a common shot -but a good'en!!!! Great tension and moment of capture on the figure. Can't fault this in many ways. A little bit dull as far as definition and light go - but nothing too much that takes away from the moment.
Gee this reminds me a lot of Heida's photo minus the garments ... Free Spirit I think! That said, I love this! The pastel colors go just great with the medium colored skin ... the clouds in the back create a very unique horizon .. I have to bump this up a point. I realize I like it more. One tiny improvement - contrast adjustment.
I love the negative space here, it's very expressive. Though, colours seem to be a bit flat for me, maybe because of the clouds, I am not sure. If your model would hold his head up, it would be a stunning expression of freedom, this was he looks like being a bit sad, looking down... Always keep in mind what you want to tell people with your photo and try to get the best out of your models to express feelings. Horizont is a bit tilting to the left, I would rotate the photo a bit to the right. Nice idea, it would be worth to improve the technical presentation, too. :-)
So simple. So effective. I think maybe the image would speak to me, personally, a little more if there was a female companion joining him. Still, it's a 10 and I love it.

This is great...Heida will be proud! Nice tushie, BTW... and really a well-composed photo. Maybe a touch too overexposed (lol) but works well. I like it! :o)
Great shot, looks a little similar to another shot I have seen recently..... but overall this is my favorite of the week. It has a sense of freedom to it and a nice simplicity. Excellent work. Good luck, Todd.
Hmm. Almost the same composition and model action as a recent winner. Looks like it may also have the same slight dsaturization. Nonethe less, it's a great entry - gives a feeling of freedom and playfullness.
A great photo. I loved it and gave it a 10, but I have to say it looks the same as the photo that won at Freedom II: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=90452. Even the position of the body...
Hahahaha! Awesome job. Is this Heida's pic- if not it's perfect. There's a great tone here- i kinda wish that there were more space on the bottom but otherwise is awesome- I like the blue of the water, very serene.
hell if the photo wouldn't get you a 10 the title would. freaking brilliant.

ps ok, i would have liked a little more contrast - maybe shorten your exposure by 1/3 EV then dodge the subject to make him stand out. composition and thema re awesome.
OMG!!!!!! soooooo funnnnnyyyyyy!!!!!! I loved 'free spirit' by heida. This is like the photographic equivalent of the satirical teen spoof movies (Scary movie, Not another teen movie, etc) Excellent title! really really humorously amazing, I love that its not taking itself seriously either (if a photo can do that)... 9
Must say...Well Done! the clarity, crisp colors, the fantastic DOF, the dead on use of the rule of thirds adds balance to an over all great shot...the Title? Yes even the Title 10!
