In keeping my New Years Resolution to get out early and shoot I got up early and went to Rocky Mountain National Park to shoot sunrise at Hallett Peak, taken from Bear Lake. I got there a little early and had to wait almost an hour in -3 degrees weather, I was waiting and hoping the sun would light the peak first and the sun did not disappoint, it hit Hallett Peak and lit it up perfectly without hitting the surrounding areas. It was well worth the wait even in the cold.
I was also amazed at the difference in the level of detail I got using my new tripod, I knew my old one was not that great but having a nice tripod made a lot of difference in the small details.
