From the critique club...
I did not understand the title :(
Central composition makes it a landscape and the smoke on the horizon is percepted as a cloud. I would walk down to the sand lay down and take it from there filling 1/4 or less of the bottom with the beach and puttig the smoke into the left third. The grass on the foreground is just a distractor here.

The title adds the 'hope' element to the picture, which in itself is sad...a paradise burning away.
