I really love this image, and I understand your context, but I don't feel like it fits the challenge as well as others. In spite of that, it's still a good shot and deserves that credit.
Some may not see this as a "celebration", so it might be costing you votes here and there. However, this is a fantastic image. B&W is an excellent choice here. 10 and a face from me.
