With one day to go I thought I would try and take a shot for this challenge but I had no idea who to do. My daughter has a few teddy bears and we have several musical instruments so Bear_Music seemed the most likely. I imagine there will be several of him and I didn’t have the time to properly setup.
So I decided to just go to the latest registered names and make my way backwards until something caught my eye and was achievable. The problem with this is that no one will probably know the name except the person who owns it. I was amazed at how many people have registered recently. Anyway, BLACKTOP finally got my attention (mostly because of the uppercase use) as I commonly refer to hitting the blacktop when going for a motorbike ride. I also new that the main road behind my place was relatively interesting and I had never really photographed it so ‘bingo’!
Of cause I reserved my right to pick another name if the shot didn’t work but I was reasonably happy with it so here it is. Admittedly, I had envisioned this in b&w when I took it (and it turned out ok) but to emphasise the blacktop it needed the colour. I probably also should have waited about half an hour as the sky turned a lovely orange when the sun finally set but I didn’t think of it at the time as I had planned a b&w shot.
Well, a somewhat boring shot for a username that no one will know will probably mean a meh vote. It wasn’t until I started writing this that it occurred to me that I could have put a coin predominately in the image and called it PennyStreet or Penny Lane. Damn!
