There is so much to love about this image but a couple of things that stand out for me is the great focus on the concentrating face and the decorations that helps to identify the period when taken. I love the way you have processed the b&w of the image too.
Love the line of bright shiny half globes (aka food covers). I really like how my eye is drawn into the image with the framing provided both by the window and the people and objects.
