Orchids have such a lovely fleshy, voluptuous vibe going & SEP2 is such fun to convert to BW.
I tend to notice shapes & shadows before I notice color, especially while using a camera or in PP.

To reply to PennyClick -- I notice shapes & shadows consciously because I practice it. Texture is more a part of PP, maybe because the shadows & shapes are small. I will have to practice noticing texture while I'm shooting, see what happens next! Thanks.
The thing that makes this wonderful, to me, is the way the overlay, in general maybe the grain in particular, is going in a different direction from the base image. These just work so well together.
You commented I tend to notice shapes & shadows before I notice color, especially while using a camera or in PP... I would add noticing textures to that, which I think is something that you obviously enjoy too based on this image. The two layers work really well together.
