Yet another case of my 365 project coming in handy for a DPC shot. A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this windmill near work. I grabbed some shots and tried out the new Topaz Adjust 5 on them. I really liked the result, so when this challenge came up, I went to seek out a repeats performance.
But a few things changed. The sun sets a lot earlier, meaning the sky was much more colorful. There was no wind, so to get the spin I had to climb the windmill, spin it, jump down, and run back to the camera to get some shots. And finally, my new 100 mm macro came in 2 days early, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play with that.
In the end, I like this shot even better :)
