i'm not gonna look at your title again, because i don't understand it... i'm giving you a 9 because of the emotive quality and the appropriate graininess. :)

This is a wonderful photo. The grain and also the bright light from the lower left distracts from the photo. Excellent job catching the mood.

For what reason is the photo so grainy? I really want to know, because I have seen others that are like this, too! The subject is great, except the graininess takes away from the effectiveness of the photo.
