Shot on a street of Downtown Varadero (Cuba). Subject's amazing face and eyes did the job. "Hair light" is the sun and fill light is an sb-900 speedlight with a warm diffuser.
"Don Emilio" is my pick for a spanish nickname. "Don" is a prefix that denotes much respect and Emilio is a classic name.
After 52 years of "revolution" and radical socialism, this man, at his early 80's , must belong to the minority who has memories of a different Cuba, and maybe that is part of the story behind his eyes.

Congrats, Alfredo! (la foto es formidable, no creo que el sindrome de ojo seco y/o principio de cataratas del señor,hayan colaborado en los 6,8788. Todo mérito tuyo) ;-)
Wow! This guy looks like there are a lifetime of great stories and events in that face. The eyes are very compelling. This is one of those images that I could look at for a long time.
