In the main square of Florence, Italy right across where the il duomo (cathedral) is located, there is the San Giovanni baptistery. The east side of this baptistery is where you will find these doors which are fenced so that people are not be able to use them to go in and out of the baptistry. The fence is quite close to the doors so the only way to photograph them unobstructedly is to go as wide as you can. I had my 16-35mm with me so I squeezed my camera through the fence, went as low as I could go and took some shots until I was happy with one.
Michelangelo called these doors "Gates of Paradise", but they were created by Lorenzo Ghiberti. Lorenzo actually included a mini-sculpture of his own head on these doors. The original panels of these doors are actually kept in a nearby museum. These golden panels are only replicas.

Il Battistero di San Giovanni of Florence. Surely the gates of paradise.
Great, absolute great peeking inside the paradise where the birds are chirping and where there is no sadness or pain....
