Hey, you could've entered this into the "golden ratio" challenge also... From my monitor I see a pretty strong halo, although my screen is pretty crappy.
Looks oversharpened to my eye. You've also got some significant halo action going on in here. The line of the handle itself is interesting, and I like your composition well enough.
