Per your request. I think you managed to meet the challenge by finding a unique natural formation which is definitely cool. But it was not photographed in a unique way and it really looks like a snap shot. The lighting is very flat but I think the biggest downfall is that it is just too busy. The ice formation is interesting but you lose much impact with all of the leaves and branches/twigs everywhere. I think if you could have kept the ice but physically removed much of the distracting elements that would help. The colors are very boring, its ice and rock so not much you can do about that but I contrasty black and white conversion would make it more interesting. Don't be disheartened, many of us start here just learning our ways, just look at some of my first entries. I hope this helped some, if you have any other questions feel free to PM me. |
